Have you ever wondered what makes a black person be a Republican?
I used to wonder, when I was in my teens, what makes someone choose to be a “Republican”. I mean it sounds so nasty and mean why would any decent person be a republican and moreover how could any black person, or poor person ever be a republican; and with that, I purposed to find out why? Shoot, growing up the world never ever told me MLK jr or Sojourner Truth or any of my personal heroes were all conservatives, I had no idea until I endeavored on my own outside of the walls of indoctrination.
As a single mother and someone who lives pay check to pay check and a Christian I was curious a bit about this Barak guy but as a Black American I want to tell you something, I wanted him to be the one. I wanted him to be the real deal ya know. And I held out a long time for that to be the case. There is something people can’t truly get about this unless you are black. Now I am not trying to be flipped and I know there are many who really get the struggle of what it means to be a black person through the generations, I get that. But to truly understand the pride we feel as a black American to see a Black man up there running for office, man I was on that like white on rice :D, to endorse this guy Barak Obama. I was like hot dog ya know, so I read up on this guy, I read both his books, looked at his record in Illinois and the Senate and all these red flags started popping up. And I promptly ignored many of them, if not all of them, I mean he is black after all and I am mixed (Indian, Black and white). I really understood a lot of the things he was saying, I identified with him A lot. But I noticed some things I could not ignore as a Christian first and foremost and well that is what disturbs me most. How so many strong and staunch Christians have totally tanked for Obama, forsaking God and God’s Will for a man and the color of a man’s skin. Abortion, Israel, I am my brothers keeper, Justice, Morality, all these thing just became garbage in the blink of an eye because a man was standing up there, black. Most black Americans and any real Christian doesn’t think homosexuality is normal, nor believes in abortion and here we have a man standing up there telling us that not only is abortion ok but that infancide is ok. And with that I had to come back to reality and who I was, what I believe, I had choose and that is really what this is about. Who am I as a conservative I had to hold onto my values tight and not let my self get caught up in the emotions of the moment, for emotions often cloud the reality of truth. So have you ever wondered…….
Conservative: What does that mean? Who is the conservative and what do they believe anyway?
Being a Black conservative is something someone has to come out of the closet about. It is not for the faint of heart, ya know, but It should be. As a black American I was raised as a liberal and when I first started coming of age I professed the title Democrat like a good little black girl, just as I was always told I was, and I was fine with that. It made sense, fairness and equality for all, I mean who would not be down for that? And I was told Republicans well they were all about keeping me down so it made sense I would be a democrat. But you know I started thinking…., about how people were still poor and about how people in my community had this mentality that they could not succeed even if they tried their hardest so why bother and I was like see how the republican man is keeping us down, mentally enslaving us and I started reading and researching things, trying to make connection and show people that the man (republicans) were the cause of our still plight, and that they infested our neighborhoods with drugs to help oppress us even longer. Through that I started making connections and seeing some patterns that didn’t fit. The foundation of the Republican party was the anti-slavery movement, they were created for the expressed purpose to abolish slavery and with that came an assault against them, that continues till this day.
Points of conservatism
Principles, values, love & compassion with a cherry, morality is not circumstantial.
Conservatives are for personal responsibility, the sacredness of life, working hard, and being kind to others. That’s all it is about or has ever been about.
• To be a person who is accountable for his or her actions and takes care of
himself and those who are unable to care for themselves.
• We love this country and the people of this country.
• To believe in that which makes logical sense rather than that which is borne
out of emotion and is supposed to make me feel good
• It takes a village to raise a child, not the government.
• Being all you can be, Conservatives believe in YOU, that YES YOU CAN! I, We
are not a bunch of idiots who need “Big Brother” to run our lives and tell
us what is best, I will figure out for myself what is best for me and mine. So thanks but no thanks for now.
• The Smaller the Federal Government the Safer we are, Government is not my
mom or dad and certainly not God
• The General welfare not entitlement welfare
• We believe that the government has been set to watch over and lead the
country, not control everything anyone does
• A balanced budget, low taxes and small government
• A literal translation of the constitution, not letting the courts infer
meaning to it. (No Legislating from the bench)
• Freedom of religion, does not mean freedom from religion
• The belief in free speech, even if it's not politically correct and even if
it does offend people. That is part of Freedom.
• Helping others, I am my brothers keeper
• Giving, If I do, government doesn’t have to
• Personal responsibility
• Sacredness of life. It is LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness without
LIFE nothing else has any meaning. Every life has a purpose, a destiny and a
right to exists.Every Life has value from the elderly, to the young, to the unborn.
• Being kind to others means doing unto others as you would have them do to
you- treat others respectfully with a good heart. These are the things which make up the conservative values and principles
There are some polar opposites
• Liberals believe in the power of the collective, collectivism
• Conservatives believe in the power of the individual, individualism
All other things are a spin off of these two truths
• Liberals Idea of compassion is how many people they can get on welfare
• Conservatives idea of compassion is how many people they can get off (or
free of) welfare
We love people. We believe in people. We recognize that we are all individuals. We don't see groups. Conservatives see America as a group of human beings, not blacks and whites, men and women, Asians and Arabs, we are not Jews and Christians or Hindus and Muslims we are simply people. We don't see people as groups we can exploit. We don’t see rich and poor. Class envy is pointless. We don’t see the problem but instead look at the potential. We don't think hey that person doesn't have what it takes, and that person does. We believe and want every person to be the best he or she wants to be and can be if certain things are just removed from their path like too much government, indoctrination, onerous taxes, regulations and the elitist mentality. Circumstances are not an excuse but an obstacle to overcome.
Our founding fathers were some of the most brilliant men ever assembled and divinely inspired. We revere our founding documents; We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity
We hold these words of Beauty as something to be cherished; The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them Life, Liberty, Freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. And that creator is God, Jesus Christ.
We don't want to tell anybody how to live. That's up to you. We believe in limits and rules sure, it is like playing a baseball game, have you ever tried to play a baseball game with no rules? What would happen?
”We love the people of this country. And we want this to be the greatest country it can be, but we do understand, as people created and endowed by our creator, we're all individuals. We resist the effort to group us. We resist the effort to make us feel that we're all the same, that we're no different than anybody else. We're all different. There are no two things or people in this world who are created in a way that they end up with equal outcomes. That's up to them. They are created equal, given the chance.” Rush Limbaugh.
Martin Luther King Jr. understood it. He understood that there was this group of people who not only wanted to, but did judge a man by the content of his character and not the color of his skin. He strove to have that be the mainstream and not the minority of people, and yet till this day it is not the case. When I came into the presence of conservatives and would open my mouth and speak I noticed immediately wow these people are judging my words and my actions and my character not my skin color, they are not looking down on me with pity and sorrow like oh poor baby, you were born black and down trodden, but would say right on, right on. There was not this patronizing, condescending attitude like “Oh, come here let me help you” or “ let me explain to you” No it was hey God gave you a brain, so use it.
This whole school of thought that conservatives have is the exact opposite of what I grew up with. And well, when I finally understood what the conservative movement was saying and what it meant, I realized that I had been duped, I had been lied to and I had bought it hook line and sinker and that is a hard thing to swallow. Now that was not the end, I could have stayed in that lie and said ok that is that, I am where I am, and try to manipulate the truth. I had a choice to stay or make a break for it, and I choose to take the information I had and run with it, expand my mind and look beyond my own bigotry and say yeah I want that, I want to believe in me and not what government can do for me. And so I endeavored to understand it even more, I took the time to look through this school of thought with out blinders on and I realized why my people were still down, It was no longer a physical slavery, but in mental slavery, and it got me down right hot and fired up; The democratic party was who was promoting it and patronizing me. So yeah I love America, because in America I have a choice, I have freedom, I have liberty (for now) and I can demand justice. I have a voice and I can choose to use it, and you have an ear which to hear.
May you look out into the horizons and endeavor yourself beyond the limits of indoctrination.

White Republicans
As financial crisis looms for the American Economy and we wait for a solution to be passed by Congress there is still business to do. Now we have to keep pressure on the media and Democrats and even Conservatives to keep a “Bail Out” as conservative as possible. We also have to not lose focus on getting the truth out about who was at fault BUT….. We also can’t lose focus that there is an election to be won. So I wanted to just bring things back to the election a bit. A point that “white republicans” need to start touching on…if they have not already. The black vote, and the black democrat vote at that. So to help inspire you a bit I wanted to say go out find just one black democrat you can find (friend or foe – friend being a better choice heheh) and start talking about the elections. Ask them if they plan to vote, If so do they know for whom yet (lol)? And when they say Obama ask them why? Just as plain as plain can be, don’t hide or cower, don’t be afraid of being called a racist or bigot or any other choice name as to be honest just cause they are not saying it they more than likely already think it about you and yes even if you are their friend they think you cannot possibly understand. But that little question will open a door for you to break down some truths to them that we as blacks are not taught. First the basic principles of conservatism, this is not part of our culture not one lesson on it all we get is media agenda and propaganda from the time of birth and now America is plagued with a whole generation that has not a clue about the truth of history as it pertains to the Republican party. As well when speaking to a democrat black or white you have to keep things simple and break away from the thought they actually know the basics. The basics of economics or the political structure etc…. So pick a subject and only one subject.
Example lets say you ask said person “Hey do you plan on voting this year?” If they say no ask why and push for it but we will assume
They say: “Heck yeah”
You say: “Cool – do you know who yet?”
They look at you like your stupid and say “uhhh Yeah”
You say politely and with all humility “who?”
They say “Obama”
You say: “Obama? Why is that?”
Eyes wide they will probably look at you like what did you just ask me that – they say: “what do you mean”
You say: “I mean why are you picking Obama?” “What do you like about his policy” what ever
Some will come out and say cause he is black others because he is democrat some will bring up specific policy
But which ever it is have an answer – If they say cause he is a Democrat then ask them and what exactly do you mean by that – what is the difference between the two parties. Let them put them selves in a corner and then help them out of it. J Now with that said
Telling a black person that the Republican Party was created for the sole purpose to end slavery is something I would say 80% don’t know. Maybe even more but it is an ice breaker into hey I understand your struggle also here are a few names of Black Republicans to through at them that I am sure 95% do not know. And here are a few other facts to go in with and of course using all humility – As there is no way to undo 30 years of brainwashing, ignorance and indoctrination but If you can inspire thought and inspire someone to think for themselves then you have created a new path for them a path to hopefully enlightenment J - But be ready for the totally irrationally emotional response those will be prevalent as with most democrats when in a corner they name call and go into bizzaro mode, but even that is ok if you keep you cool let them ramble on and finish then bring it back to reality – there are several tactics to do this and do it well. But the most effective is going back to the basics and use allegories.
So some facts Blacks don’t know
Republican Party founded in 1854 as the anit-slavery party until today Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks.
It was Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black codes and Jim Crow laws. They fought passage of every civil rights law from the 1860’s and continued right into the 1960’s
Democrats started the KKK
Dr. Martin Luther King was a republican and was constantly fighting democrats (this will through the Democrat into a tizzy but the Black Democrat will perk up at this and be like really – No way – and perhaps though a fit as well – saying that was then this is now kinda stuff)
It was president Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957( He was a Republican) and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools he also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to US Supreme Court resulting in the 1954 Brown vs. Board of ed decision
Few VERY FEW black Americans know it was Republicans who founded the Historically Black Colleges and Universities
the NAACP and affirmative action (as back in the day it was needed unlike now a days and where it has been grossly corrupted by democrats – AA was actually Nixon’s counter to when Democratic President Woodrow Wilson in 1912 kicked all the blacks out of federal government jobs) was established with Richard Nixon’s Philadelphia Plan crafted by black republican Art Fletcher.
John F Kennedy is lauded as a proponent civil rights leader but he voted against the 1957 civil rights act while senator as did Senator Al Gore Sr.
Kennedy as president was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King
Any way those are good starting points – Know them learn them and use them – don’t hide it is why so many of my brothers and sisters are so easily indoctrinated sometimes tough love is needed to peel the blinders off those who desperately need it and don’t even know it. If we can gain just a few to understand that will start a domino effect and maybe the next generation will not forget that the Democratic part is as it has always been the Party of the 4 S’s: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism heheheehe (as stated by Frances Rice) – Man I might have to post this to my Blog now that I am writing it out

In Order to break the Democrats stranglehold on the black vote and free blacks from the mental slavery of the democrats’ economic plantation we must shed light of truth and not be afraid. We need to show that Democratic policies of socialism and dependency on government offer the pathway to poverty. We need to show that Republican policy and principles of we offer a hand up not just hand outs will give you the future that you dream of. There is nothing more satisfying than hard work, personal responsibility, getting a good education and ownership of your own business and home. This is the pathway to prosperity, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We are not spreading some kind of disease. We are not the elitist, racists and “Uncle Tom’s” they make us out to be. We are Americans who believe We are all created equal endowed with inalienable rights from our creator. So go show some compassion and spread the light of truth because there is no time like the present and If we don’t do it now there may not be a beautiful free America much longer.
